Imagine you or a loved one being on that fun
outdoor hiking or hunting trip and suddenly you are being
attacked by a bear. People who have been attacked and lived
often talk about having their life flash before them and
often feel remorse for things they should have done in life.
If you accidently end up in a bears
"personal space" you could find yourself in a bad
situation. Bears can immediately
lunge into a full 30 -35 mile per hour sprint to
immediately get you out of its personal space. The bear
will use whatever force it feels necessary to get you
out of its personal space or to get you away from its
cubs.
Running away from
an attacking bear may trigger a chase instinct and put
you in a race you can't win.

Although, staying calm is impossible,
you need to face the bear and look as submissive is
possible. Try not to make eye to eye contact (that is a
sign of aggression), back away and have your Guard
Alaska or Pepper Mace Bear Spray ready for action.
Climbing a tree is
out of the question, bears will also chase you up
a tree and have pulled humans out of trees and mauled
them on the ground. Full grown
Grizzly bears can easily stand 10 foot tall and can
quickly stop your feeble attempts to climb up a tree to
safety.
The Sierra Club wants the Forest Service to require everyone who enters a national forest in grizzly bear country to carry bear spray Spokeswoman Heidi Godwin said in a news release, "The proper use of bear pepper spray will reduce human injuries caused by bears, reduce the number of grizzly bears killed in self defense, and help promote the recovery and survival of the grizzly bear."
We can send bear pepper spray to all states except Massachusetts.
Some things to
remember if you are going hiking, hunting or bear
watching

1. Do not corner or
provoke a bear.
2. Never approach a sow when it is with young. If you
see bear cubs wondering alone get away quickly and watch
your surroundings very closely as you get away from the
cubs.
3. Do not disturb a feeding bears or feed bears.
4. In bear country, hang all food off the ground in
trees away from the campsite. Never keep food or
captured game inside a tent. Use proper food storage to
keep food away from bears. Cook at a site away from the
sleeping area. Do not sleep in clothes worn while
cooking or eating.
5. Make noise when hiking, (some people use bells and
ring them every few minutes) particularly through tall
grass. If you confront a bear, avoid eye contact and try
to slowly back away.
6. If attacked by a bear, do not
try to outrun it - you can’t.
Be prepared with bear pepper spray
Guard Alaska
ultra hot pepper spray has proven so effective repelling
bears, it is the only one registered with the EPA as a
repellent for ALL SPECIES of bear! It is absolutely the
most effective and powerful bear defense spray available
today.
We recommend buying the holster and
practicing drawing the bear spray several times when you
get it and then again before going on your outing. Some
people who live in bear country buy this for their
everyday lives. You want to be able to draw your bear
spray quickly and you want to know mentally you are
prepared.
If the time comes and you are
ever attacked by a bear you want to be prepared and you
want the spray to be ready for use (in a holster not at
the bottom of a backpack).
If you or a loved one loves the
outdoors consider this as a special gift that will allow
whoever is staying home or going out into bear country
to do so without regrets.
Make sure that the spray you are using is registered with the EPA for use against bears. There is a special formula for this and ordinary pepper spray is not recommended.
